AC Gold Spark at APSE Conference

AC Gold Services, one of Scotland’s leading electrical contractors, was on hand to provide their expertise and experience to members of the Association for Public Service Excellence at their Scottish Building and Housing Seminar held at Peebles Hydro.

The two day conference looked at the current best practice and challenges facing house building in the public sector and the growing demands being placed on local authorities and stake holders to provide affordable housing to the latest Scottish Housing Quality Standards.

AC Gold not only sponsored the Annual Dinner at the event but also had a stand during the seminar where delegates could find out first-hand what the implications of Scottish Housing Quality Standards and the 17th Edition electrical standards will have on their housing stock and future developments.

AC Gold’s Managing Director, Alasdair Campbell, explained,

“One of the key issues being discussed by delegates on our standards were the electrical upgrades required to achieve compliance with the Scottish Quality Housing Standard and the varied levels of electrical testing and inspection that clients seek.”

He continued,

“By going through some recent examples of projects we have carried out in Falkirk, Kinross and South Lanarkshire, we were able to show the delegates exactly the types of issues they may be facing, the changes in standards and the solutions we delivered for clients.”

AC Gold Services has established an enviable reputation in the electrical contracting industry working with a range of main contractors, facilities management companies, local authorities and housing associations across Scotland.
